How to Install HP Color Printer

- Select a sturdy, well-ventilated, dust-free area, away from direct sunlight with a temperature range of 17° – 25° C and humidity range of 30% – 70% to position the product.
- Take the printer out of the box and remove the packaging material.
- If you are connecting to a network, connect the network cable now. If not, then skip this step and go to the next step.
- If you want to use the fax function, connect the supplied phone cable between fax port on the printer and a phone jack.
- If you want to use the fax function, connect the given phone cable between fax port on the printer and a phone jack.
- Connect the power cable between the product and a grounded ac outlet. Turn on the printer and wait for a minute so that the printer recognizes the network and assigns an IP address, if it is connected to a network.
- When the Home Screen appears, touch the Setup button, and select System Setup menu to set the language.
- Install the product software from the CD or by downloading the software from HP website.
- Click on the Close button when the installation is complete.
- For advanced setup for network-connected printers, enter the printer IP address in the address bar of a Web browser after software installation is complete. To find the IP address, click on the Network button on the product control panel.
- If the printer will be connected with a USB cable, the software installation process requires that the printer is turned on and in the Ready state.
- Load paper in Tray 2, Tray 3, Tray 4 and Tray 5.
- Install the product software from the CD or by downloading the software from HP website and follow the on-screen instructions. See the Install Notes file on the product CD for more software installation instructions.
- When the Home Screen appears, touch the Setup button, and select System Setup menu to set the language.
- Install the product software from the CD or by downloading the software from HP website.
- Click on the Close button when the installation is complete.
